Christina Heiniger, organizer of The Gifted Hand Show, organizes several arts and crafts shows in the Ellsworth and Mount Desert Island areas. Below you will find a schedule of these other fun arts events. All of these shows and sales feature the best local artists and craftspeople from Mt. Desert Island, Downeast, The Blue Hill Peninsula, The Ellsworth area and all over Maine, many of whom have achieved National recognition for their exceptional work.

Please join us for these great upcoming events:

• October 22 + 23, 2010: Beads + Baubles Downeast, 2nd Annual Fall Bead + Jewelry Show, Friday noon - 7pm, Saturday 9am - 4pm.

At the Ramada Inn (Schoodic Room, on the ground floor, off the lobby) 215 High Street, Ellsworth, Maine (formerly called The Holiday Inn). Featuring 20 vendors including bead stores, lampwork glass beadmakers, and jewelers creating artfully beaded jewelry. All manner of beads will be available to purchase at this show, including Czech Glass, Pearls, spacers, seed beads, felt beads, porcelain beads, focal beads, vintage beads, lampwork beads. Also featuring beaded jewelry by local artisans. A number of beading workshops will be offered during this event. If you would like to sign up to take a workshop, please call Christina Heiniger at 664-2404. Admission is $1.00 and children 12 and under are free. Your admission enters you into our doorprize for over $100 worth of beads.
